Invitations

I'm busy making invites now... all fun. Got them all folded on the train trip from Newcastle on Sunday night and had 4 hours at work yesterday where I managed to cut all the slits for the ribbon to go through.

Double sided photo tape is so good for sticking ribbon to card or paper!!!

Andrew's mum has been preparing the ribbon for me (puttin the tape on the back and cutting it to length etc.) So this weekend we might be able to finish them. About 70 in all.

Noooo.... 15 invites to go and I've run out of rhinestones - and Spotlight at DY and in Newcastle have sold out.... have to ring around now.... typical!!

Would you believe I got them from the supplier, stuck them on, posted the invites and then half the peoples rhinestones fell off in the post!!! It doesn't worry me. Nothing I can do about it, although ti was a bit disappointing.

I did all my invites in one day it took 3 people 7 hours. I thought it was fun at the start to and I liked the way that they turned out. However it involved me yelling at my bridesmaid, my mother and my husband to be all in the one day Anger

! Which I am very sorry for now. I am going to attempt my order of service on the weekend - fingers crossed Cross fingers

I would also like to make a recommendation to everyone - If there is any glueing required in your invites use this glue tape which comes in a roller thing like tape white out. It has two advantages over any glue - firstly there is no mess, secondly you can't see where the glue sits underneith the paper. I received a wedding invite the other week where you could see big lines under the paper where the glue was.
